Hello readers! Today I'll be updating my registry at Dillards... yay for the little scanner guns! Taking hubby with me, this will be his first time. Hopefully he won't scan unnecessary things, hahaha. But he probably will. Good thing I can edit it after. :]

P.S., check out these killer skeleton keys I found at the local antique store. They're massive! I want them.

antique-y day!

Found this beauty while I was antique shopping today.

I want it so bad! And I would love to add some of these to it:

These lovelies are on Etsy here!

My new love is creative pull knobs like these.. they're just gorgeous.

Moving into my new home soon, possibly the last move I'll have to make for a long time. :) I can't wait! I'll post pictures when I get settled in the next month or so.

divide and conquer-ish?

Hello readers!

Created some new single-page advertisements for my fictitious "Lola [bedding]" brand that I made up for a Branding Development class. Here's what I've got:

Also, designed this poster for the university drama department's production of Guys & Dolls; it is competing against 20-some other designs, and the department's advisor will be selecting her choice.

ALSO... I got selected out of 20-some people to have BOTH of my designs showcased on the cover of the 2010 Summer & Fall Session Schedule Catalogs for the university! :) Very happy about that.

As if that weren't enough... ;) It seems I have won an ADDY Award. I'm not sure what I placed, but I will find out on the 20th. Photos to come!

a beginning tour of my home!

I decided to share where I live with the readers. First, I'll start with a brief preview of my living room, mainly my bookcases (which I purchased at target for a total of $60 and built by myself!) since they're organized so nicely today.

One of the bookshelves. Yes, my DVDs are alphabetized nicely! There's some textbooks from Ryan's previous finance classes, a picture frame (which still, unfortunately, has the original 'fake' photo in it haha), and a tribute to our love of the Beatles. Yes, that's a giant humidor full of Ryan's cigar collection.

Our replica miniatures of Lennon's guitar and Ringo's drumset. Unfortunately the guitar isn't to scale with the drumset, as you can see! Behind them, the Beatles remastered CD collection (a gift from the folks for Christmas).

A close-up of the drumset, complete with little drumsticks!

Look what my hubby got for me for Christmas! A bobblehead doll of yours truly. Isn't that just uncanny?

My mini Buddha statues, which I purchased from a little hippie store in Gatlinburg. Love them. :)

This is on the other bookshelf, but the rest of the cubbies were a little drab, so I just did this one. Picture frame I made after a trip to the beach with my sorority sisters, framing the last letter my grandpa wrote to me. Yes, it's on a 3x5 notecard.. that's just how he rolled. ;) And Dwight in bobblehead form!

My "son" Kimbal wanted in on the photo shoot!

Ok, so that's all for now. Check in later and I may post more!
